The skills of soccer god Lionel "Leo" Messi are mesmerizing enough on their own. But dress the FC Barcelona and Argentine national team star in hundreds of LED lights then frame his otherworldly moves at 1,000 frames-per-second? That's downright hypnotic.

It's also the premise of the Adidas ad embedded above, which combines sports and psychedelia to fantastic effect.

Adidas says the clip, which promotes Messi's new signature shoe, "captures and analyzes Leo's movement." To us, however, it just looks really cool — which works just as well.
