34 Songs You're Singing Wrong

"Hold me closer Tony Danza." "Sweet dreams are made of cheese." "We're goin' da da in a looleeloowad!"
Song lyrics can be hard to remember, but that doesn't stop us from singing along. For Music Monday this week, we asked you to tell us which songs you've been singing incorrectly for an embarrassingly long time. Earlier this month, Spotify also released a playlist of the 10 most commonly misheard lyrics, but thanks to your input, we were able to triple that number.

Here are some of your creative lyrical interpretations:
  • The Rolling Stones, "Beast of Burden:" "I'll never leave your pizza burning" instead of"I'll never be your beast of burden"
  • John Mayer, "Your Body Is a Wonderland:" "And if you want love, we'll make it / Swim in a deep sea of bacon" instead of "... Swim in a deep sea of blankets"
  • Taylor Swift, "22:" "You look like Batman" instead of "You look like bad news"
  • Wilson Phillips, "Reckless:" "Talking 'bout the washer and breakfast" instead of "Wanna be impulsive, reckless"
  • The Beatles, "Something:" "Something's in the way, she moves" instead of "Something in the way she moves" (A subtle but silly change.)
  • Ke$ha's "Your Love Is My Drug:" "Get out, get out, get out, it's my truck" instead of"Your love, your love, your love is my drug"
Hey, we're only human. And not all lyrics websites are to be trusted. For instance, even though Eurythmics' song is officially titled "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)," we're still convinced Annie Lennox sings "Sweet dreams are made of these." How else could it rhyme with the next line, "Who am I to disagree?"
